Watch your shorts and camera straps.  Goats will nibble on anything.  Loved for their curiosity and mischievous playfulness, goats are also responsible for some delicious dairy products... from milk to cheeses and more.  Fun fact:  The etymology of the phrase "to get someone's goat" is purportedly derived from the practice of putting goats in the stalls of thoroughbreds to calm their nerves before a race.  A sneaky rival would "get the goat" (i.e. remove it from the stall), agitating the horse, and hurting his odds of winning. So if you've been racing around all day, and the nerves are a bit frayed, stop by the Sheep Barn and hang out with the goats for a while.  They'll be sure to make you smile.

Or better yet one of your friends is up on the stage claiming that their belly button was stolen. Then with a snap of David’s fingers they enter back into a hypnotic trance. Sounds entertaining huh? This is just the beginning of what to expect in the show.

No one is forced to volunteer. David will invite anyone who wants to get hypnotized to join him and fill the 15-20 chairs that are on stage. In just a few moments your friends and the rest of the volunteers fall into a hypnotic trance. Then the fun begins!

It is comedy like no other. Mainly because YOU and YOUR FRIENDS are the stars of the show!

“Country music singer-songwriter Dan Wallace uses life’s blessing and tribulations as a wellspring for his storytelling and those that the 38-year-old Buckeye State native has most recently experienced are poured out onto the five tracks on Wallace’s forthcoming EP, “I-65”.

Produced by Rob McNelley, the 2020 ACM Musician of the Year along with other ACM accolades, and Justin Francis who has Grammy nominations and also has an impressive background of his own and is regarded by many as one of the best Producers/Sound Engineers that Nashville has to offer. The EP is backed by studio musicians who have recorded for many of the biggest names in Nashville. The five tracks on “I-65” are solely composed by Wallace, who delivers vocal performances perfectly suited for the lyrics of each composition.

“I-65” benefits not only from Rob McNelley and Justin Francis’s demand for perfection, but also the state-of-art recording equipment and aura of laying down the tracks in a Nashville recording studio with some of the most seasoned and respected players in the game.

Wallace’s stories range from those about the devotion of a man to his wife and children, to a carefree lifestyle of fast cars and living-for-the-minute. The tracks include “Shelter”, inspired by his wife of 18 years, Courtney, and the storms of life they have weathered together including a daughter who, as a child, had hydrocephalus. The track “Nights like These”, takes a nostalgic look back at good times and makes you feel as though you are cruising on the backroads.

On “Fast Cars, Fast Livin’”, Wallace, channeling the aura of Bob Seger but with his own signature, recounts a childhood memory of listening to his father and uncle reminisce about hot rods they once drove, while “Alcohol System” is a simple straight-forward raise-your-mug drinking song with a distinctive introductory guitar rift. The track, “I-65”, is tethered in context to the parent EP, “I-65”. “I’m still cruising down I-65 chasing my dream,” Wallace said, a signal to his naysayers that the best is yet to come.

The track- and the EP’s title- is in part inspired by the tumult he experienced while playing in a band. Wallace uses this experience as the platform to dive into the creation of his first solo EP. Wallace said the compositions are meant for “the working class of truck drivers and factory workers” with whom he hopes his storytelling resonates. While steeped in Wallace’s traditional-country influences of Hank Williams Sr., Merle Haggard, George Jones, and Keith Whitley- the result of listening to the music of his grandparents in southeastern West Virginia- “I-65” is also infused with “some new school” sounds.

Released as an independent artist, “I-65” will be available on most digital music platforms in the Summer of 2022. Wallace lives just west of Columbus, Ohio with his wife, Courtney, and their three children, 17-year-old twin daughters Emily and Bailey, and a 15-year-old son Corbin.

So what's all the buzz about?  Well, bees of course.  The oft under-appreciated honey bee is responsible for pollinating much of the world's agriculture.  They also produce honey... a favorite of both bears and people.  Given their declining populations due to disease, lack of diet diversity, pesticides and other factors, honey bees have been in the news over the past decade, which makes it more important than ever for bee-keepers around the world to help reinvigorate the honey bee population.  Needless to say, if there were no honey bees, we would all feel the sting.  So come check out our hive and learn how honey is extracted from honey combs.  You can even buy some of the honey produced on the fairgrounds--a sweet treat to help support our resident bee-keepers!

When all is said and done…There are people who work tirelessly to be singers and there are those that have been gifted with a voice and the ability to connect with people. Julia Neville has been blessed with both. Julia’s magnetic personality has been witnessed by thousands at shows across the United States. Those that came to see her were drawn back to see her again, those that have not seen Julia Neville are fans for life. Very approachable off stage Julia makes you feel like part of the Family and on stage presents one of the best Country Rock shows around. On the horizon is a host of radio singles ready to hit a local radio station near you. One of the things I have noticed is that Julia will seek out local radio stations in the market to help promote the shows that she is in town to perform at. Julia Neville is on a mission to find venues to partner with to not only grow both her fan base but also the venue that she and the band are performing at. If you have not had a chance to see Julia Neville live or sit and talk with her you are missing one of the joy’s of life.

Imagine the person that was sitting next to you just a few minutes ago is now up on stage and can’t remember their own name!
